Headsets

My current recommendation for normal use is the Logitech H390 for under 30 CHF.

It is a simple, yet comfortable and most importantly reliable wired USB headset. No batteries to charge, no bluetooth to connect, no problems 😁

I have been using it myself for many years.

Bluetooth headsets

Bluetooth headsets can be nice and of course there are models that offer good audio quality. But good bluetooth headsets are expensive, starting at around 100 CHF and easily going beyond 200 CHF, see list below.

I am not advising against them but in my experience it is very helpful to have a decent USB headset available in any case.

Headphones

Headphones are generally not a good option.

Headsets put the microphone close to the mouth, resulting in a much better audio quality. And that's important for video-conferencing, especially when learning a language.
